Something "Out of the Box"

This time I wanted to do a beauty shoot. Not the usual one but something “out of the box”.

So I teamed up with Ayushma, who had won a few pageants in Nepal and Marina, a professional MUA from Serbia and got to work.

Out first set was more of a warm up session, in terms of the theme and make up. A colorful yet subtle make up and simple lighting but with gels to make the colors pop – something fun.

Out of the Box!!

Now it was time for the real deal. Marina began working on Ayushma’s second look and I started brainstorming about what I can do differently. I had got some long plastic sheets, the kind used to wrap flower bouquets with, to experiment something by putting it in front of the strobe with gels, which I now thought I’ll use as a prop.

Ayushma was ready and I decided to try and drape it around her. As her make up was blue, I decided to go with the blue and red gels itself and created this.

The last look!!

And now for the last look I decided to place the gel cards in front of the model’s face to creating shapes to draw attention towards the make up.

With Marina’s help to hold the cards in place and myself with camera on one hand and a gel card on the other, we made this.
